CORPUS CHRISTI BIOFILTRATION BASINS <br />The Corpus Christi Filtration Basins were installed in partnership with the RCW D, and the church. The goal of the project is to slow <br />the overland flow of water that drains into a catch basin, and help alleviate the Fairview Truck Storm Sewer System. Ananalysis of <br />the Fairview system was completed in 2011, and the City needs to manage 13 acre feet of stormwater to reduce localized flooding <br />oft hearea. This project manages 0.5 acre feet oft he 13 acre feet the City identified as a goal. <br />Right: The filtration basins will slowdown and filter <br />the 10year rain event(4.2" of rain). Thiswill help <br />alleviate flooding by allowing water to slowly drain <br />into the system versus the fast <br />Below: All excavated soils were kept onsite to create <br />a mob use field for the church. <br />Project Cost: $96,000 <br />RCWD Funding: $26,000 <br />Roseville Funding: $70,000 <br />Left: The preconstrucfion cond ifion oft he Corpus Christi Field. <br />Below: Excavafion oft he Eastern basin. The heavy soils were <br />overexcavated 3-5' to promote as much infiHrafion and stor- <br />age as possible. A drainfile was added and then had rock and <br />sand backfilled around it. <br />
