INTRODUCTIONS 9 <br /> 10 <br />2. ROLL CALL/PUBLIC COMMENT 11 <br />No public in attendance comment. 12 <br /> 13 <br />3. APPROVAL OF MINUTES – February 29, 2016 MEETING 14 <br />February 29th minutes approved unanimously. 15 <br /> 16 <br />4. INDUCTION & OATH OF OFFICE FOR NEW COMMISSIONERS 17 <br />Commission Chair Newby executed the Oath of Office for new Commissioners Ronald Bole & Cynthia 18 <br />Warzecha. Following the oath of office, all commissioners shared their residence history and a short 19 <br />comment about participating on the Parks & Recreation Commission. 20 <br /> 21 <br />5. UPDATE ON THE CEDARHOLM GOLF COURSE CLUBHOUSE REPLACEMENT PROCESS 22 <br />Brokke briefed the Commission on the first Advisory Team meeting and shared the orientation power point 23 <br />presentation to provide background information for the new Commissioners and additional information for 24 <br />the viewing public. 25 <br /> 26 <br />6. STAFF REPORT 27 <br />Brokke shared: 28 <br />• He will meet with the Finance Commission next week to talk about Parks & Recreation Operations. 29 <br />• There have been staffing changes at the Skating Center. Brad Tullberg has left for a position in 30 <br />Brooklyn Park and Keving Elm has been promoted to the Superintendent position. We will be 31 <br />looking to fill the Skating Center Recreation Supervisor position in the coming weeks. 32 <br />• We are moving into final interviews for the Department Administrative Assistant position. 33 <br />• The City Council is working on an Infrastructure Sustainability Priority Asset Management 34 <br />Program. Parks & Recreation is currently using Pubworks to track staffing time and maintenance 35 <br />costs. 36 <br />• Deer Survey Review 37 <br />o Currently, the City has an ordinance for Wildlife Management 38 <br />o Ramsey County completed a Deer Count Survey this winter, we are currently waiting on 39 <br />findings. 40 <br />o Brokke will be attending an upcoming meeting with Ramsey County Officials, DNR 41 <br />representatives, other Ramsey County Cities and other affected agencies. Management 42 <br />options & techniques, best practices and timing will be discussed. 43 <br />• A purchase agreement for the Marion Street property has been approved by the council, contingent 44 <br />on a grant receipt to assist with funding. 45 <br /> 46 <br />7.
