The program also <br />79 <br />. <br />80 <br />The plan books are available atwww.cityofroseville.com/1634/Remodeling-Resources <br />81 <br />Housing Replacement Program <br />82 <br />The City of Roseville first adopted the Housing Replacement Program in 1998.The RHRA <br />83 <br />took over administering the program in 2002 but never had resources to continue purchasing <br />84 <br />properties. In2013 the RHRA updated the program and set aside levy funds to assist with <br />85 <br />acquisition of properties. The goal of the program both then and now is to acquire older <br />86 <br />homes that have a limited floorplan or footprint or are too costly to improve, demolish them, <br />87 <br />then sell the land to a qualified builder and homeowner to construct a new home. The <br />88 <br />program does require the newly constructed homes to meet specific design and site criteria. <br />89 <br />Since 1998, the housing replacement program has been used to purchase 5properties and 4of <br />90 <br />th <br />the5lots have had new homes built on them. The 5property was sold recently to provide <br />91 <br />easement accessfor the Cherrywood Estates development (on Lexington, across the street <br />92 <br />from City Hall).
