New Licenses: MRDs that have legally not been required to have a rental license due to new <br />construction will qualify far a�y�� T«°o Year License. A rental license a�plication � must <br />be submitted �� to the City within thirty (30) calendar days from the issuance of a <br />Conditional or Permanent Certificate of Occupancy. The applicant shall be responsible for <br />compliance with all sections listed herein under Citv Code Chapter 908. <br />B. Operating without Valid License: Properties found operating without a valid rental license from <br />the City, properties failing to meet City Code requirements, or properties that have been the <br />subject of enforceinent actions such as criminal prosecution or civil penalties for violation of this <br />chapter, will only qualify for a�"���' ^�--� One Year or Six Month license. <br />C. License Renewals: All licensed rental properties ��-� ���'���^* *^ r�����•_� �"a shall � be required <br />to submit a renewal application. After renetival inspection the license type may be reassiUned <br />aN�' �:.�? :�".�.��e=�����e���P� based on the total number of violations noted. The <br />level of compliance with City Codes and applicable regulations may also affect license tvpe. <br />D. Chronic Code Violations: For properties having chronic code violations that are not being <br />resolved in a timely manner, the City Council may pursue any and all remedies under Minnesota <br />Statutes sections 504B.395 through 504B.471 in addition to any other legal or equitable relief. <br />E. License Cate�ory Criteria: License type will be detennined by the number of property �code <br />and nuisance violations as recommended by the r;*�, `'���,����- Codes Coordinator and approved <br />by the City Council. Standards for propertv lnaintenance will be based on compliance �vith City <br />and other at�plicable Codes or other nationall�eco�nized standards as adopted by the City <br />Council. <br />. , <br />e ::�:-. <br />F. The Coinmunitv Development Departinent r'��'� ��,� �•������,* ��+����-� will notify applicant <br />of the inspection date, approximately thirty (30) calendar days prior to inspection. <br />3.
