EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING <br />OF THE <br />CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE <br />����������������� <br />, � o � --- --� -- <br />Roseville, County of Ramsey, Minnesota, was duly held on the 13th day of June, 2016, at 6:00 <br />p.m. <br />The following meinbers were present: Laliberte, McGehee, Willmus, Etten; and Roe and the <br />following were absent: none. <br />Member Willmus introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION No. 11323 <br />RESOLUTION REJECTING BIDS <br />FOR 2016 LARPENTEUR AVE SIDEWALK <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to advertisement for bids for the improvement, according to the plans <br />and specifications thereof on file in the office of the Manager of said City, said bids were <br />received on Wednesday, June l, 2016, at 11:00 a.m., opened and tabulated according to law <br />and the following bids were received complying with the advertisement: <br />CONTRACTOR BID TOTAL <br />Pember Companies, Inc. $594,620.30 <br />Thomas and Sons Construction $578,623.60 <br />Engineers Estimate $406,835.00 <br />WHEREAS, it appears that Pember Companies is the lowest responsible bidder at the <br />tabulated price of $594,620,30 and <br />WHEREAS, the lowest responsible bidder was 42% higher than the Engineers Estimate. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Roseville, <br />Minnesota: <br />1. The Mayor and City Manager are hereby authorized and directed to reject the bids for <br />the project for the above improvements according to the plans and specifications and <br />rebid the project at a more favorable time. <br />2. The City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders <br />the deposits made with their bids. <br />
