Regular City Council Meeting <br />Monday, May 23, 2016 <br />Page 19 <br />Motion failed. <br />Councilmember Laliberte moved, McGehee seconded, reconsideration of the mo- <br />tion to DENY the rezoning request as previously stated. <br />Roll Call <br />Ayes: Willmus, Laliberte and McGehee. <br />Nays: Etten and Roe. <br />Motion carried. <br />Roll Call (Original Willmus/McGehee Motion to DENY based <br />on fmdings, now under reconsideration): <br />Ayes: Willmus, Laliberte and McGehee. <br />Nays: Etten and Roe. <br />Motion carried. <br />City Attorney Gaughan advised that a resolution memorializing the findings for <br />denial would be prepared and presented at the next meeting of the City Council. <br />Interim Community Development Director Collins noted staff's sensitivities with <br />HDR zoning; and advised that staff would loolc at those during the comprehensive <br />plan update and how PUD fit with that. <br />Councilmember Willmus suggested a more immediate review by staff of the cur- <br />rent PUD ordinance. Councilmember Willmus noted the value of this type of pro- <br />j ect and cominunity housing needs supported a text amendment, with coinponents <br />as suggested by Councilmember Etten, to the PUD ordinance. <br />Without objection, staff was so directed. <br />While admitting it may require a longer process, Councilmember Willmus opined <br />the important thing was to ultirnately get this right. <br />Ms. Collins advised that, if the applicant was still interested, staff would walk <br />them through the process. <br />b. Receive Update on Marion Street Park Proposal and Southeast Roseville Vi- <br />sioning <br />Interim Community Development Director Collins provided the City Council and <br />public with an update on the Marion Street park proposal, and SE Roseville vi- <br />sioning as detailed in the RCA and attacllments. <br />At the request of Councilmember Willmus, Ms. Collins confirmed that Communi- <br />ty Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds were specific to this site and its par- <br />ticular use as a park.
