City of <br />1�1 � <br />� <br />Minnesota, USA <br />Regular City Council Meeting Minutes <br />City Hall Council Chambers, 2660 Civic Center Drive <br />Monday, July 18, 2016 <br />1. Roll Call <br />Mayor Roe called the meeting to order at approximately 6:00 p.m. Voting and Seating <br />Order: Willmus, Etten, McGehee, Laliberte and Roe. City Manager Patrick Trudgeon <br />and City Attorney Mark Gaughan were also present. Mayor Roe noted that, due to a <br />scheduling conflict, Councilmember Willmus did not expect to be available for tonight's <br />meeting. <br />2. Pledge of Allegiance <br />3. Approve Agenda <br />Mayor Roe advised that Councilmember Willmus had requested removal of Items 8.a and <br />8.b from the Consent Agenda for separate consideration. <br />Councilmember McGehee requested removal of Item 8.c from the Consent Agenda for <br />separate consideration. <br />Etten moved, McGehee seconded, approval of the agenda as amended. <br />Roll Call <br />Ayes: Etten, McGehee, Laliberte and Roe. <br />Nays: None. <br />4. Public Comment <br />Mayor Roe called for public comment by members of the audience on any non-agenda <br />items. No one appeared to speak. <br />5. Council and City Manager Communications, Reports, and Announcements <br />On a personal note, Mayor Roe offered a message of thanks to the Roseville Police De- <br />partment for their preparation and planning for and addressing potential contingencies to <br />the planned protest at Rosedale Center last Sunday. While the protest ended up being <br />cancelled, Mayor Roe noted the professionalism of the Roseville Police Department and <br />their partnering agencies had been very impressive. Mayor Roe noted the additional <br />strain on police departments around the metropolitan area as well as across the country; <br />and publically thanked public safety personnel for all they do on a daily basis, and in <br />light of current tensions. <br />Mayor Roe announced an upcoming community engagement meeting next week to gath- <br />er initial feedback in the process and issues specific to the SE portion of Roseville near <br />the Rice Street/Larpenteur Avenue intersection. Mayor Roe noted the intent was to begin <br />conversations and obtain feedback on opportunities, aspirations and the vision for that ar- <br />ea moving forward, and how various entities can work together to make that happen. <br />
