Regular City Council Meeting <br />Monday, July 11, 2016 <br />Page 36 <br />Motion carried. <br />Mayor Roe announced the findings would be presented at the next Council meet- <br />ing for formal adoption. <br />Motion to Extend Meetin� Curfew <br />At 10:00 p.m., McGehee moved, Willmus seconded, extension of City Council curfew to <br />complete Item 12.c. <br />Councilmember Etten noted there were a number of community members in the audience who <br />had been waiting for some time for the City Council to address Item 14.a; and proposed that item <br />be considered as well. <br />Councilmember Laliberte concurred. <br />The makers of the motion agreed with that friendly amendment; amending their motion to in- <br />clude agenda items 12.c and 14.a as part of the meeting curfew extension. <br />Roll Call <br />Ayes: McGehee, Willmus, Laliberte, Etten, and Roe. <br />Nays: None. <br />c. Request for Approval of a Minor Subdivision at 1861 Gluek Lane into Two <br />Parcels (PF16-016) <br />Senior Planner Bryan Lloyd briefly reviewed this request for subdivision, as de- <br />tailed in the RCA and related attachments; and noted similar drainage concerns. <br />Mr. Lloyd referenced written comments as noted with the previous application <br />and photographic evidence provided from neighbors to the south of this site. Mr. <br />Lloyd advised that staff supports approval of this subdivision application. <br />Councilmember Laliberte referenced comments from City Engineer Freihammer <br />that he had more concerns with this property than the previous application and <br />sought clarification. <br />Assistant Public Works Director and City Engineer Jesse Freihammer <br />Mr. Freihammer concurred, noting that in the other project, there was minimal ar- <br />ea along the length of the lot while this lot held for a larger impact of the flood- <br />way area, making the biggest difference in the two applications. <br />Applicant Arlene Menke, 1861 Gluek Lane <br />Contrary to past comments, Ms. Menke clarified that their intent as property own- <br />ers seeking to subdivide their parcel was not to make a killing on selling a portion <br />of it. Ms. Menke advised that their practical reason was to build a new home for <br />their use and for one-level, aging-in-place living rather than their current multi- <br />level home they were finding it difficult to navigate (e.g. stairs).
