<br />As shown in the table above, aggregate spending (funding uses) in the enterprise funds have increased
<br />moderately over the past five years – about 1% annually.
<br />
<br />Excluded from ‘Funding Uses’ are capital expenditures which are recorded directly to the balance sheet.
<br />Because of this accounting practice, a closely watched result for the enterprise funds is the ‘Excess of
<br />Funding Sources Over (Under) Funding Uses’ category. A positive number indicates that monies are
<br />being captured for future uses including capital replacements.
<br />
<br />2011-2015 Financial Summary: Selected Funds
<br />As noted above, the City also presents separate financial statements for a few key operating funds
<br />including the following: General Fund, Parks & Recreation Funds, and Community Development Fund.
<br />They are presented below in Tables C-E.
