Roseville Finance Commission <br />Agenda Item <br />Page 1 of 3 <br />Memo <br />To: Roseville Finance Commission <br />From: Chris Miller, Finance Director <br />Date: June 14, 2016 <br />Re: Item #5: Receive Historical Budget & Tax Levy Data: Information Package #2 <br />Background <br />At the May 10, 2016 Finance Commission meeting, the Commission reviewed an initial information <br />package detailing historical budget and tax levy activity. During the review, the Commission requested <br />additional information that summarized 5-year actuals accompanied by 5-year projected figures, along <br />with information on the impacts on residents. <br />This information is presented below using some of the same general categories as presented at the May <br />10th meeting. <br />2011-2020 Financial Summary: Governmental Funds <br />The following graph provides an operating summary for the City’s governmental funds for the past five <br />years along with a projection of the next five. <br />As shown in the graph, the City’s governmental fund activity is projected to remain fairly steady with <br />fund balance (funding sources minus funding uses) expected to level off at $43-44 million over the <br />next few years.
