<br />CITY OF ROSEVILLE <br />ORDINANCE NO. 1268 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 106 OF <br />THE ROSEVILLE CITY CODE, EST ABLISIDNG CITY DEPARTMENTS <br /> <br />THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE ORDAINS: <br /> <br />SECTION 1. Chapter 106 is deleted in its entirety and the following is adopted: <br /> <br />106.01 City Manager. All Departments and personnel of the City shall be subject to the <br />control and direction of a City Manager, who shall be appointed by the Council in accordance <br />with state law. The City Manager shall be responsible to the Council for the proper <br />administration of all matters relating to the City and shall have the powers and duties specified in <br />state law and as delegated by ordinance, resolution or other action of the Council. <br /> <br />106.02 City Departments. The City shall have the following Departments: <br /> <br />Administration <br />Community Development <br />Finance <br />Fire <br />Parks and Recreation <br />Police <br />Public Works <br /> <br />106.03 Administration. The Administration Department shall include the City Manager, <br />Assistant City Manager, City Clerk, and other personnel. The Administration Department is <br />responsible for management, human resources, election administration, and communications <br />activities. The Manager shall be responsible for the performance of all duties assigned by law to <br />the city clerk. <br /> <br />106.04 Community Development. The Community Development Department shall be under the <br />direction of the City Manager and Community Development Director and is responsible for <br />community planning, land use, economic development, housing, building code and related <br />programs. <br /> <br />106.05 Finance. The Finance Department shall be under the direction of the City Manager and <br />Finance Director and is responsible for budget, investment, accounting, and other financial <br />services. The Finance Director shall serve as Treasurer for the City, in addition to other assigned <br />duties. <br />
