EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING <br />OF THE <br />CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE <br />� � � � � � � � � � � � � � * � � <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City <br />of Roseville, County of Ramsey, Minnesota was duly held on the 22°d day of August, <br />2016, at 6:00 p.m. <br />The following members were present: Willmus, Laliberte, Etten, McGehee, and Roe <br />and the following were absent: none. <br />Member Willmus introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION No. 11347 <br />City of Roseville Participation in the Minnesota Internet Crimes Against Children <br />Task Force Program (MICAC) <br />WHEREAS, the City of Roseville Police Department desires to join over 80 law <br />enforcement agencies throughout the State of Minnesota who have made a <br />formal commitment to protect our children from exploitation by on-line <br />sexual predators by participating in the Minnesota Internet Crimes Against <br />Children Task Force (MICAC); and <br />WHEREAS, Minnesota Statutes §471.59 authorizes municipalities and state agencies to <br />enter into joint powers agreements; and <br />WHEREAS, through participation in MICAC, the City of Roseville will benefit with <br />investigative and forensic support and investigation training; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Roseville will receive reimbursement for overtime hours and <br />actual expenses incurred relating to performing MICAC Task Force <br />assignments and training. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that by the City Council for the City of <br />Roseville that the Joint Powers Agreement for Minnesota Internet Crimes <br />Against Children be and hereby is approved and the City Manager is <br />authorized to execute the Agreement; <br />This Resolution shall become effective upon its passage and without further <br />publication. <br />
