She suggested developing a flyer that could be distributed to <br />94 <br />area organizations as well. <br />95 <br /> <br />96 <br />Ms. Curti stated she would get a flyer put together and she would work with Commissioner <br />97 <br />Dailey on the distribution of these flyers. <br />98 <br /> <br />99 <br />Commissioner Dailey requested the deadline da <br />100 <br /> <br />101 <br />Commissioner Carey asked if this could be included in the newsletter. <br />102 <br /> <br />103 <br />Ms. Curti stated the July/August newsletter was at the printer and the next newsletter would not <br />104 <br />go out until September. <br />105 <br /> <br />106 <br />Chair Groff suggested having a deadline of September 7 or later in order to include the <br />107 <br />information in the September newsletter. <br />108 <br /> <br />109 <br />Commissioner Dailey suggested September 9 as the deadline so they would have a count of <br />110 <br />nominations prior to the Commissions September meeting. She suggested the Nomination <br />111 <br />Committee read the nominations and present three to the Commission for consideration. The <br />112 <br />Commission could make their choices at the October meeting and work with the City Council to <br />113 <br />present the award. <br />114 <br /> <br />115 <br />Chair Groff stated the Nomination Committee could forward their nominations to Ms. Curti for <br />116 <br />distribution to the Commission. <br />117 <br /> <br />118 <br />New Business <br />119 <br /> <br />120 <br />None. <br />121 <br /> <br />122 <br /> <br />123 <br /> <br />124 <br />Chair Groff stated he had attended the June 13 City Council meeting and he had read a statement <br />125 <br />about the shooting in Orlando. He asked the City Council to pass a Resolution, which had been <br />126 <br />passed unanimously. He pointed out that the events in Orlando had nothing to do with being <br />127 <br />Muslim because this gets mixed up in the media. <br />128 <br /> <br />129 <br />Ms. Curti read Resolution 11331 Standing Solidarity with the City of Orlando Florida: Whereas <br />130 <br />the attack of June 12, 2016, at the nightclub in Orlando, was a reprehensible act of terror against <br />131 <br />the United States, the people of Orlando and all LGBT community, now there for let it be <br />132 <br />resolved that the City of Roseville extends its deepest sympathy and stands in solidarity with the <br />133 <br /> <br />
