<br />Human Rights Commission <br />Meeting Minutes <br />AUGUST 17, 2016 <br />Commissioners: <br />Chair Wayne Groff, Lisa Carey, Nicole Dailey, Edward Johnson, Molli <br />Slade, Lauren Peterson, and John Eichenlaub (6:04 p.m.) <br />Youth Commissioners: <br />Gabriel Cederberg and Elizabeth Hansel <br />Staff Present: <br />Carolyn Curti <br />Call to Order/Roll Call <br />The Human Rights Commission (HRC) meeting was called to order at 6:00p.m. Chair Groff <br />requested roll call. <br />Approve Agenda <br />Commissioner Carey stated the minutes of July20reflect Mr.Trudgeonwasgoing to direct staff <br />to collect the school demographics. <br />Ms. Curti stated these would be available in October. <br />Commissioner Slademoved and Commissioner Peterson seconded a motion to approve the <br />agenda as presented. Motion passed unanimously. <br />Approve Minutes of July20Meeting <br />Ms. Curti stated Chair Groff had provided a correction on line 185 to change “metal” to <br />“mental”. <br />CommissionerCareymoved and Commissioner Daileyseconded a motion to approve the <br />June20, 2016,meeting minutes as amended. Motion passed unanimously. <br />Public Comment on Items Not on Agenda <br />There being no one wishing to address the Commission of items not on the agenda, Chair Groff <br />moved to the next agenda item. <br />Old Business <br />a.Human Rights Award <br />Ms Curti provided information from the Human Rights Award for 2015 and stated the <br />Commission had selected a September 9 deadline for 2016 submissions. The application is <br /> <br />
