Attachment E wo City of Woodbury Pilot Program for Residential Irrigation Retrofitting The City of Woodbury is conducting a pilot program with the Minnesota Technical Assistance Program(MnTAP)to implement and validate the effectiveness of smart controller irrigation technology in single-family homes.The city is very supportive of irrigation water efficiency as part of its long-term water conservation goals. The city has purchased 5o Rachio IRO 8-zone (2nd generation)controllers to be given to single- family homeowners(who are residents of Woodbury)with traditional clock-based controllers. These controllers are provided at no equipment cost to residents to improve the efficiency of their home irrigation systems. These controllers will be distributed on a first-come,first-serve basis and at the discretion of the city. The City will not be responsible for installing the controllers. Installation is to be handled by the homeowner or a 3rd party contractor at the discretion of the recipient but within 30 days of receipt of the controller from the City of Woodbury. The estimated time it takes to install the controller is 30 minutes.An intern from the University of Minnesota will distribute the controllers and work with the homeowner on the upgrade performance upon request.
