Regular City Council Meeting <br />Monday, September 12, 2016 <br />Page 8 <br /> <br /> <br /> Roll Call <br />Ayes: <br />Willmus, Laliberte, Etten, McGehee and Roe. <br />Nays: <br />None. <br /> <br /> <br />b.Approve Business and Other Licenses <br />Willmus moved, Etten seconded, approval of new 2016-2017 Massage Therapist <br />Licenses as detailed, dependent on completion of successful background checks. <br /> <br /> Roll Call <br />Ayes: <br />Willmus, Laliberte, Etten, McGehee and Roe. <br />Nays: <br />None. <br /> <br /> <br />c.Approve General Purchases and Sale of Surplus Items in Excess of $5,000 <br />With regard to selling the equipment to pick up leaves and eliminating that City <br />service, Councilmember McGehee asked City Manager Trudgeon to determine if <br />more information can be provided to residents who may want to hire a lawn ser- <br />vice company at an affordable price. City Manager Trudgeon stated staff will try <br />to gather and promote that information, noting staff has already made an effort to <br />alert residents that this City service will be discontinued and where to turn to if <br />they are in need of assistance. <br /> <br />Public Works Director Marc Culver stated staff has updated the website to include <br />a list of contractors that offer general landscaping services including leaf removal; <br />however, many do require a certain minimum level of service. He stated staff is <br />working to also highlight contractors who will offer curbside leaf pick up, similar <br />to what the City has provided in the past. <br /> <br />Willmus moved, Etten seconded, approval of general purchases and contracts for <br />services as noted in the RCA dated September 12, 2016, and Attachment A enti- <br />tled, “2016 Capital Improvement Plan Summary;” trade-in/sale of surplus equip- <br />ment. <br /> <br /> Roll Call <br />Ayes: <br />Willmus, Laliberte, Etten, McGehee and Roe. <br />Nays: <br />None. <br /> <br /> <br />d.Approve 2017 City Benefits Insurance Renewals & Cafeteria Contributions <br />Mayor Roe thanked those serving on the Employee Benefit Committee who look <br />at the plans and assure buy-in by employees. <br /> <br />Willmus moved, Etten seconded, approval of 2017 City benefits insurance renew- <br />als with the insurance carriers (subject to review and approval by the City Attor- <br />ney) and the City employer cafeteria contributions as described in the RCA dated <br />September 12, 2016. <br /> <br />
