October 19, 2016 <br />Item 5.D <br />Community Conversation <br />Background <br />On October 4 the city hosted a facilitated conversation about police, race and community. An <br />estimated 200 people participated. <br />The planning committee includedHRC Commissioners Wayne Groff and Molli Slade,Mayor <br />Roe, other commissioners, interested residents and staff. The planning committeemet on <br />October 13 to review the event and talk about future events. <br />The committee is tentatively planning anotherconversation in early December. Staff is looking <br />intodifferent dates and locations. <br /> <br /> <br />
