Meanwhile at the Roseville Library we have a number of history programs with racial <br />equity content scheduled for Winter/Spring 2017. These programs are, for the most part, co- <br />sponsored by the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute of the University of MN \[OLLI\], but we <br />would be honored to partner with the Human Rights Commissions on some of them as well. <br />This week I am putting the final touches on our history schedule for January-March 2017, <br />and I will be delighted to send you our program details as soon as they're available. <br /> In the meantime let me give you a quick overview of what we have planned. We are <br />looking forward to the return of Prof. Duchess Harris with updated talks on the roots of the <br />; <br />Black Lives Matter Movement we will have a series on the Asian American Experience, <br />featuring (among others) a performance excerpt and audience discussion with cast members <br />The Paper Dreams of Harry Chin; <br />from the new History Theatre production of we are <br />; <br />presenting a series on Islam and the West with Professors Ahmed Samatar and Nabil Matar <br />and we have invited Prof. Myron Orfield, an expert on segregation patterns and <br />community/police conflict in the inner-ring suburbs, to lecture as part of our Tuesday with a <br />Scholar Series. <br /> I will soon send you details of all of these events.
