<br />Planning Commission Regular Meeting <br />City Council Chambers, 2660 Civic Center Drive <br />Minutes – Wednesday, November 2, 2016 – 6:30 p.m. <br /> <br /> <br />1Call to Order <br />1 . <br />Chair Boguszewski called to order the regular meeting of the Planning Commission <br />2 <br />meeting at approximately 6:30 p.m. and reviewed the role and purpose of the Planning <br />3 <br />Commission. <br />4 <br />2. Roll Call <br />5 <br />At the request of Chair Boguszewski, City Planner Thomas Paschke called the Roll. <br />6 <br />Members Present: <br /> Chair Michael Boguszewski; Vice Chair Shannon Cunningham; <br />7 <br />and Commissioners Chuck Gitzen, Robert Murphy, James Daire, <br />8 <br />Julie Kimble and James Bull <br />9 <br />Staff Present: <br /> Community Development Director Kari Collins, City Planner <br />10 <br />Thomas Paschke, and Senior Planner Bryan Lloyd <br />11 <br />3. Review of Minutes <br />16 <br />a. October 5, 2016 Regular Meeting Minutes <br />17 <br />MOTION <br />18 <br />Commissioners had an opportunity to review draft minutes and submit their <br />19 <br />comments and corrections to staff prior to tonight’s meeting, for incorporation of <br />20 <br />those revisions into the draft minutes. <br />21 <br />Member Murphy moved, seconded by Member Cunningham to approve the <br />22 <br />October 5, 2016 meeting minutes as amended. <br />23 <br />Corrections: <br />24 <br /> <br />Page 4, Line 165 (Bull) <br /> <br />25 <br />Typographical Correction: Spelling of Member Bull’s name <br />26 <br />Ayes: 7 <br />27 <br />Nays: 0 <br />28 <br />Motion carried. <br />29 <br />5. Public Hearings - continued <br /> <br />30 <br />Chair Boguszewski reviewed public hearing protocol and the process. <br />31 <br />a. PROJECT FILE 0017, Amendment 30 <br />32 <br />Request by the City of Roseville to amend Table 1006-1 and Chapter 1009 <br />33 <br />(Procedures) to establish motor freight terminals as a CONDITIONAL USE <br />34 <br />MOTION <br />35 <br />Member Bull moved, seconded by Member Cunningham to pick-up from the <br />36 <br />table the public hearing for PROJECT FILE 0017 at approximately 6:35 p.m. <br />37 <br />from the October 5, 2016 Commission meeting. <br />38 <br />Ayes: 7 <br />39 <br />Nays: 0 <br />40 <br />Motion carried. <br />41 <br />City Planner Thomas Paschke provided an update since the October 5, 2016 <br />42 <br />meeting, referencing an email sent to commissioners from staff subsequent to that <br />43 <br />meeting, outlining staff’s interpretation and recommendations of discussions to- <br />44 <br />date. While agreeing that future consideration of additional text amendments <br />45 <br />concerning motor freight terminal, trucks, and auto-oriented uses are needed, Mr. <br />46 <br /> <br />
