January 18, 2017 <br />Item 3 <br />Approve Minutes <br />Human Rights Commission <br />1 <br />Meeting Minutes <br />2 <br />DRAFT NOVEMBER 16, 2016 - DRAFT <br />3 <br /> <br />4 <br /> <br />5 <br />Commissioners: <br /> Chair Wayne Groff, Lisa Carey, Nicole Dailey, Molli Slade, Lauren <br />6 <br />Peterson <br />7 <br />Youth Commissioners: <br /> Elizabeth Hansel <br />8 <br />Commissioners Absent: <br />Edward Johnson, John Eichenlaub and Youth Commissioner <br />9 <br />Gabriel Cederberg <br />10 <br />Staff Present: <br /> City Manager Pat Trudgeon <br />11 <br /> <br />12 <br />Call to Order/Roll Call <br />13 <br />The Human Rights Commission (HRC) meeting was called to order at 6:00 p.m. Chair Groff <br />14 <br />requested roll call. <br />15 <br /> <br />16 <br />Approve Agenda <br /> <br />17 <br />Chair Groff stated the Commission is required to have their elections in April so Item 6.a. will be <br />18 <br />removed from the agenda. <br />19 <br /> <br />20 <br />Mr. Trudgeon stated Commissioner Eichenlaub had requested the discussion on housing in <br />21 <br />Roseville and he is not in attendance and Item 6.b. could be moved to a future meeting. He stated <br />22 <br />any discussions the Commission had on housing would have to be focused on how this relates to <br />23 <br />human rights and equality in housing. <br />24 <br /> <br />25 <br />Commissioner Carey moved and Commissioner Peterson seconded a motion to approve the <br />26 <br />agenda as amended. Motion passed unanimously. <br />27 <br /> <br />28 <br />Approve Minutes of October 19 Meeting <br /> <br />29 <br /> <br />30 <br /> <br />31 <br /> <br />32 <br /> <br />33 <br />Commissioner Slade moved and Commissioner Dailey seconded a motion to approve the <br />34 <br />October 19, 2016 meeting minutes as amended. Motion passed unanimously. <br />35 <br /> <br />36 <br />Public Comment on Items Not on Agenda <br /> <br />37 <br />There being no one wishing to address the Commission of items not on the agenda, Chair Groff <br />38 <br />moved to the next agenda item. <br />39 <br /> <br />40 <br />Old Business <br />41 <br /> <br />42 <br /> <br />a.Mental Health Forum <br />43 <br />Commissioner Dailey stated she had talked with Kay King, who puts on Gray Matters through <br />44 <br />NAMI.
