Roseville Public Works, Environment and <br />Transportation Commission <br />Agenda Item <br />Date: January 24, 2017 <br />Item Description: Communication Items <br />Item No: 4 <br />Public Works Project updates: <br />• Twin Lakes Parkway Phase III and Twin Lakes Area Signals: Extension of Twin Lakes <br />Parkway from Prior Ave to Fairview Ave and construction of traffic signal at Fairview <br />Ave. and Twin Lakes Parkway. <br />o All work on Twin Lakes Parkway is complete other than the new signal and <br />related work at Fairview Avenue. <br />• Cleveland Lift Station: Lift station replacement project at Cleveland & Brenner. <br />o Construction contract has been awarded. Work will likely begin in April. <br />• 2017 Lining Project <br />o Estimated to line 5.5 miles of sanitary sewer main and 0.1 miles of storm sewer <br />o Contractor is scheduled to begin work in February. <br />City Council Update: <br />• The City Council approved the 2017 budget at their only December meeting. More <br />information on the approved budget can be found on the City website at the following <br />address: <br />htty://www.cityofroseville.com/2713/Budget-Information <br />The Council agreed to an overall tax levy increase of 3% including the use of some <br />reserves to offset the levy increase. <br />• The Council recently directed staff to hire a firm to undergo a more detailed space needs <br />analysis and concept development for the License Center and Maintenance Facility uses. <br />Staff has released a Request for Proposals for this work and is expected to award a <br />services contract to an architectural firm at the end of February. <br />Misc. Items: <br />• The Community Development department has drafted a memo to the PWET Commission <br />in order to introduce the Comprehensive Plan update process and provide a glimpse into <br />the Commission's role during this process. Attached is that memo. <br />Major Maintenance Activities: <br />• Plowed and salted for numerous snow and ice events <br />• Street crews assisted utility crews with street restoration from numerous water breaks. <br />
