the decision you made to be humane to these deer.
Professional sharpshooters are the most humane hunting
option and I am pleased you took this into consideration. There
will be limited distress to the deer, it willbe safer for our
community and it will not be turned into a sporting event. -
Please add an educational component. Unless you kill all of the
deer, hunts will not solve the problems residents have with the
deer or other wildlife. Please consider having someone come
and speak to residents about ways we can change behaviors
that may be encouraging tameness of our wildlife. Have a
discussion on what has worked and what hasn’t for residents in
deterring the deer from their gardens. -Please stop the
developing in our natural spaces in Roseville. Residents on
both sides of the hunting argument had concerns about
overdevelopment and how it may be pushing the wildlife into
residential neighborhoods. Again, I disagree with your decision
and I am disheartened by the outcome, but I applaud your
efforts for listening and being transparent with our residents.
Keep up the great work for our City!
