The Commissioners discussed placing signs at the Langton Lake site.
ЊЍБ
Commission Chair Newby suggested that the signs that are posted reiterate that the trees
ЊЍВ
are not diseased but have reached the end of their useful life.
ЊЎЉ
Deer Population-
ЊЎЊ
Brokke shared that residents are continuing to voice concerns with the deer population in
ЊЎЋ
Roseville. The members of the City Council have been getting phone calls and e-mails
ЊЎЌ
requesting information on what the City is doing to solve the over population.
ЊЎЍ
In order to gather additional information Parks and Recreation Staff has been working
ЊЎЎ
with Ramsey County and the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources (MNDNR)
ЊЎЏ
touring Roseville Parks and discussing options:
ЊЎА
Sharp Shooting Off-season solution provided by the United States Department
ЊЎБ
of Agriculture (USDA) Government Agency.
ЊЎВ
Bow-Hunting Roseville would work with the Metro Bow Hunters Association.
ЊЏЉ
They would have stands up during the regular bow-hunting season.
ЊЏЊ
Brokke stated that due to the smaller size of the Parks in Roseville they may not be
ЊЏЋ
conducive to bow hunting and sharp shooting may be more efficient.
ЊЏЌ
Commission Chair Newby questioned if it is the same group of people who have
ЊЏЍ
complained in the past that are again voicing similar concerns? Brokke confirmed that it
ЊЏЎ
is in many cases the same residents with comparable concerns.
ЊЏЏ
Commissioner Stoner questi
ЊЏА
ordinance 2 years to work and the use of the ordinance?
ЊЏБ
Brokke confirmed there has not appeared to be many documented cases of violations
ЊЏВ
associated with the recent ordinance and that residents are still experiencing ongoing
ЊАЉ
issues.
ЊАЊ
Upcoming Events-
ЊАЋ

Community Build Saturday, September 24th at Central Park Lexington near the
ЊАЌ
Amphitheatre. Everyone is encouraged to come out to the build!
ЊАЍ

Wild Rice Festival Saturday, September 17, 2016 from 10a.m-4p.m.
ЊАЎ

Tapped and Uncorked Friday, September 30, 20
ЊАЏ
GB Leighton.
ЊАА

ЊАБ
Ў
