Regular City Council Meeting <br />Monday, March 13, 2017 <br />Page 15 <br />Laliberte moved, Willmus seconded, appointment of Tammi Ethridge for the term <br />expiring March 31, 2018 and appointment of Peter Sparby for the term expiring <br />March 31, 2020, to the Planning Commission. <br />Based on Candidate Sparby's previous work with the Community Engagement <br />Commission (CEC) on the cominunity engagement part of the coinprehensive <br />plan and task force work with the Planning Commission, Councilmember Laliber- <br />te expressed her confidence that he would continue to bring that perspective to the <br />Planning Commission. <br />Councilmember Etten agreed with Councilmember Laliberte's statement, and <br />stated his full support of the motion. <br />Roll Call <br />Ayes: Willmus, Etten, McGehee, Laliberte, and Roe. <br />Nays: None. <br />Laliberte moved, McGehee seconded, appointment of Randi Lundell to the Police <br />Civil Service Coinmission for the term expiring March 31, 2020. <br />Roll Call <br />Ayes: Willmus, Etten, McGehee, Laliberte, and Roe. <br />Nays: None. <br />Etten moved, Willmus seconded, appointment of Nancy Misra to the Public <br />Works, Environment and Transportation Commission for the term expiring March <br />31, 2020. <br />Councilmember Willmus noted Candidate Misra's expression of strong interest in <br />the PWETC at her interview. <br />Mayor Roe noted how providing a second choice on applications proved benefi- <br />cial to the process. <br />Roll Call <br />Ayes: Willmus, Etten, McGehee, Laliberte, and Roe. <br />Nays: None. <br />Etten moved, McGehee seconded, appointment of Mankpondehou Etienne Djevi <br />to the Huinan Rights Commission for the term expiring March 31, 2020. <br />Councilmember Willmus stated that he had some concern with appointments to <br />the commission at this time without knowing potential changes in its scope, duty <br />and function of the yet-to-be formed newly combined CEC/HRC commission. <br />Councilmember Willmus also noted previous discussion of the City Council to al- <br />
