The website lists
NO FISHING at this Roseville park, but there are no signs
posted anywhere to notify people of this. We did cordially
inform one man there was no fishing. He was not aware of this,
stating that Central Park does allow it, and said he was "going
to \[fish\] anyway." However, he did shortly pack up and leave.
Then yesterday, we noted 3 boys fishing for an extended time
behind the skating rink where there are breaks in the treeline.
Villa Park is a tiny neighborhood park, with waterfowl actively
building nests, laying eggs and perched on these nests. It is
not place for fishing, especially as Lake McCarrons is less than
a mile away and DOES permit fishing. Please prominently post
these areas as NO FISHING. More and more people are
treating our neighborhood parks as their personal hunting
grounds, disturbing the wildlife, removing plants and animals
for their meals. Please help. Thank you.
