<br /> <br />Regular City Council Meeting Minutes <br />City Hall Council Chambers, 2660 Civic Center Drive <br />Monday, November 14, 2016 <br />1. Roll Call <br />Mayor Roe called the meeting to order at approximately 6:00 p.m. Voting and Seating <br />Order: Willmus, Laliberte, Etten, McGehee and Roe. City Manager Patrick Trudgeon <br />and City Attorney Mark Gaughan were also present. <br /> <br />2. Pledge of Allegiance <br /> <br />3. Approve Agenda <br />Council member Willmus requested removal of Item 8.d from the Consent Agenda for <br />separate consideration. <br /> <br />McGehee moved, Etten seconded, approval of the agenda as amended. <br /> <br /> Roll Call <br />Ayes: <br />Laliberte, McGehee, Willmus, Etten and Roe. <br />Nays: <br />None. <br /> <br />4. Public Comment <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />a.Receive Update on Rice Street Garden Project <br />Sherry Sanders and Ron Peterson, representing the Garden Leadership Council <br />provided the 2016 Rice Street Gardens Final Report and a short video presenta- <br />tion on this first year. Ms. Sanders thanked supporters of this effort as detailed in <br />attached hereto and made a part <br />the final report provided as a bench handout, <br />hereof. <br /> <br />In turn, Mayor Roe thanked the volunteers and community supporters, noting this <br />was an amazing testimony of what can happen when a community gets together – <br />without government involvement – in doing for each other and their neighbors. <br />On behalf of the community, City Council, and personally, Mayor Roe stated he <br />looked forward to the 2017 growing season. <br /> <br /> <br />b.Sherry Sanders, Co-Founder of “Do Good Roseville” <br />Ms. Sanders, representing “Do Good Roseville,” provided a bench handout enti- <br />tled “Race in Society, Science and History” inviting area residents to join in vid- <br />ing and discussing a three-part series revealing how the myth of race took hold <br />and had retained is power. Ms. Sanders provided logistical information for the <br />three episodes; with the information available online at DoGoodRose- <br />ville.com/Racism. <br /> <br />5.
