6404 toe
League of Women Voters 51/
ROSEVILLE AREA
Falcon@Heights. Lauderdale, Little Canada. Maplewood, Roseville
June 5, 2017
My name is Bonnie Koch, and I am testifying on behalf of the League of Women Voters of Roseville Area in
support of the proposed Sand Development multi-housing community at County Road D and Old Highway 8.
This past year, our League has been studying lifecycle housing, and,as you know, will be discussing our
findings with you next month.Thank you ahead for that opportunity.
The League of Women Voters believes that all people have a right to housing and that the public and private
sectors should work together to ensure that everyone has access to adequate, decent, affordable housing.
We support fair housing and equality of opportunity for housing for all persons regardless of their race,
gender, religion, national origin, age, sexual orientation or disability. We support government incentives to
promote a mix of housing opportunities, including rental housing for people of all ages with very low-,low,
and moderate-incomes.These long-held League positions all apply to this housing proposal.
We applaud this development, because it includes 53 units of workforce housing and seven units for people
who have experienced homelessness, including veterans, and urge City Council members to vote for it.
Thank you.
www.lwvrosevillearea.org
