CITY OF ROSEVILLE SUMMARY OF ORDINANCE No. 1301 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING TITLE 10, SECTION 1014, SUBSECTION 1014.04, SECTION 1013, SUBSECTION 1013.02B AND 1013.03 PERTAINING TO THE BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT AND APPEALS The following is the official summary of Ordinance No. 1301 approved by the City Council of Roseville on February 9,2004: This ordinance creates a "Variance Board" to act as the Board of Zoning Variances Adjustments and Appeals, composed of three members of the Planning Commission. This Variance Board, using the city's standard notification and hearing process, will hear all land use variances and appeals ftom setback permits. A mailed notice at least 10 days in advance of the hearing is required to all property owners within 350 feet of the variance site. Ten days published notice is also required and a sign must be posted on the property to notify nearby residents. After the Variance Board makes a decision, the community development director must mail a copy of the fmal decision to property owners within 350 feet of the variance site. Appeals of the Variance Board decision must be filed within 10 days of the decision with the city manager to be heard by the City Council. The ordinance takes effect after this publication on April 1 , 2004. A printed copy of the ordinance is available for inspection by any person during regular office hours in the office of the City Manager at the Roseville City Hall, 2660 Civic Center Drive, Roseville, Minnesota 55113.
