Roseville Public Works, Environment and <br />Transportation Commission <br />Agenda Item <br />Date: May 23, 2017 <br />Item Description: Communication Items <br />Item No: 4 <br />Public Works Project updates: <br />• Twin Lakes Parkway Phase III and Twin Lakes Area Signals: Extension of Twin Lakes <br />Parkway from Prior Ave to Fairview Ave and construction of traffic signal at Fairview <br />Ave. and Twin Lakes Parkway. <br />o Contractor has begun work on the new turn lanes and started installation of the <br />new signal system. <br />o Work is anticipated to be completed by early June. <br />Cleveland Lift Station: Lift station replacement project at Cleveland & Brenner. <br />o Work will likely begin in June <br />2017 Lining Project <br />o Estimated to line 5.5 miles of sanitary sewer main and 0.1 miles of storm sewer <br />o Contractor started work in March and is 30% complete. <br />Larpenteur Sidewalk <br />o Work involves the construction of new sidewalk on the north side of Larpenteur <br />Ave between Mackubin St and Galtier St. <br />o Storm sewer and retaining wall work will be done by May 20. <br />o New curb and concrete work will begin the week of May 22. <br />o Traffic for east bound Larpenteur is reduced to one lane for the duration of the <br />project. <br />• 2017 Railroad Crossing Improvements <br />o Work involves replacement of railroad crossings on Terminal Road and Walnut <br />Street. <br />o Work will begin on Walnut Street starting May 22 at which time a detour will be <br />in place. <br />o Road closures and detours will be necessary during the railroad crossing <br />replacements. <br />Dale Street Parking Lot <br />o Work involves the complete replacement of the parking lot for the soccer fields <br />located off Dale St just south of County Road C. <br />o Work began the week of May 8. Contractor will be installing the storm sewer and <br />begin grading the lot. All work is scheduled to be completed June 16. <br />2017 Pavement Management Project <br />o Council awarded this project to T.A. Schifsky & Sons, which is the same <br />contractor that worked on this project last year. Schifsky's bid was 12.8% lower <br />than the engineer's estimate largely due to good pricing for the bituminous <br />pavement. <br />o Work is anticipated to begin in early June. <br />
