Finance Commission 1 <br />Meeting Minutes 2 <br />DRAFT – May 9 2017 - DRAFT 3 <br />4 <br />5 <br />Roll Call/Announcements 6 <br />7 <br />The Finance Commission (FC) meeting was called to order at 6:30 p.m. Chair Schroeder called 8 <br />the roll. 9 <br />10 <br />Commissioners Present: Robin Schroeder, Edwin Hodder, John Murray and Malcolm 11 <br />McRoberts 12 <br />13 <br />Commissioners Absent: Peter Zeller, John Bachhuber, and Matt Harold 14 <br />15 <br /> Staff Present: Finance Director Miller 16 <br />17 <br />Finance Director Miller stated the City Auditors made the Annual Presentation for the City 18 <br />Council on May 8. 19 <br />20 <br />21 <br />Receive Public Comments 22 <br />23 <br />There being no one wishing to address the Commission, Chair Schroeder moved to the next 24 <br />agenda item. 25 <br />26 <br />27 <br />Approval of the April 11, 2017 Meeting Minutes 28 <br />29 <br />Chair Schroeder stated on line 171 change “would” to “should”. 30 <br />31 <br />Commissioner Hodder moved, Seconded by Commissioner Murray, to approve the April 11, 32 <br />2017 meeting minutes as amended. The motion carried unanimously. 33 <br />34 <br />35 <br />Review Finance Commission Recommendations’ Tracking Report 36 <br />37 <br />Chair Schroeder stated Commissioner Harold will be tracking the recommendations for the 38 <br />Commission. She stated on Recommendation 2016-3 the Commission had received additional 39 <br />information and determined that the recommendation was incorrect and rescinded it. This does 40 <br />show rescinded on the short form but not on the long form. She did request Commission Harold 41 <br />make note of why the Commission rescinded the recommendation. She stated to change the 42 <br />financial policy, recommendation 2016-4, she had found that there were a number of things 43 <br />missing in the recommendation to the Council. These will be presented to the City Council for 44 <br />approval. 45 <br />46 <br />Item 3: Attachment A
