Goal 1.20Update: Pursue additional funding such as local option sales tax or State bond <br />funds to support Roseville facilities of regional or State-wide significance where possible. <br />CEDARHOLM COMMUNITY BUILD REPLACEMENT UPDATE <br />5. <br />Staff presented “Task1” to the City Council at the June 5, 2017 meeting with Architectsfrom <br />Hagan, Christensen and McIlwain. <br />The“Task 1”update includedthe following Design Development Set: <br />Aerial View –depicts the increased parking spaces and Community Buildinglocation <br />Overall siteplan <br />Rendition –the fireplace was changed froma single sideinside the building to a double- <br />sided fireplaceinside andoutside. <br />Energy efficiencies and the potential for future solar opportunities are being considered by <br />the Architect. <br />Elevation view <br />Furniture floor plan <br />Cart storage area –staff and the architect are still exploring the best option for the cart <br />storage design. <br />Overall,the City Councilwassupportive of the Cedarholm Community Building updates.They did <br />request additional information ona variety of topics, including: <br />The option for a basement–this option was previously researched and had not been pursued <br />due to costs and access concerns. <br />What type of kitchen will be included in the building–staff confirmed it will be a catering <br />kitchen. <br />Bird strikeson the windows –the architectsareexploring options. <br />Timeframeupdate: <br />June 5, 2017 –Task 1 (design development) update <br />July 10, 2017 –Task 2 (construction documents)update <br />July 10, 2017 –Consider advertising for proposals <br />August 14 of August 28, 2017 –Consider project <br />The following financial updatewas also provided: <br />Estimates at 3/20/17Refined at 6/5/17 <br />Cedarholm Community Building (includes site work, <br />parking lot, cart storage and green relocation)$2,350,000$2,029,000 <br />Furniture and equipment (kitchen and other)TBDTBD <br />Technology/SecurityTBDTBD <br />Planning and Management$285,000$285,000 <br />ContingencyTBDTBD <br />Total Community Building and Cart Storage$2,635,000$2,314,000 <br />2 <br /> <br />
