EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Roseville, Minnesota, was held in the City Hall in said City on Monday, September 11th, 2017, at 6:00 o'clock p.m. The following members were present: Willmus, Etten, McGehee, Laliberte, and Roe and the following were absent: none. Councilmember Etten introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 11444 RESOLUTION DECLARING COSTS AND RECEIVING PROPOSED SPECIAL ASSESSMENT ROLL FOR THE WHEELER STREET CLOSURE PROJECT AND PROVIDING FOR HEARINGS WHEREAS, on October 10, 2016, the City Council of the City of Roseville held a public hearing for the purposes of accepting public comment on the proposed improvements associated with the Wheeler Street Closure Project and at the same meeting adopted Resolution 11367 Ordering the Improvement for the Wheeler Street Closure; and WHEREAS, contracts have been let and costs have been determined for the Wheeler Street Closure Project; and WHEREAS, the total construction cost of said project was $29,413.00; and WHEREAS, the City Manager, with the assistance of the City Engineer, has calculated the proper amount to be specifically assessed for such improvement against every assessable lot, piece or parcel of land within the district affected, without regard to case valuation, as provided by law, and has filed a copy of such proposed assessment in his office for public inspection. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Roseville, Minnesota: 1. The portion of the cost of such improvements to be paid by the City is hereby declared to be $7,363.00 and the portion of the cost to be assessed against benefited property owners is declared to be $22,050.00. 2. A hearing shall be held on the 9th day of October, 2017 in the city hall at 6:00 p.m. to pass upon such proposed assessment and at such time and place all persons owning property affected by such improvement will be given an opportunity to be heard with reference to such assessment.
