V. Training for New Ethics Commissioners <br />VI. On-Going Training for Ethics Commissioners <br />Commissioner O'Brien brought foi-ward her thoughts about the need for training new and <br />existing Commissioners through reading and discussing ethics. O'Brien brought forward <br />a list of resources regarding govei�ment ethics. O'Brien suggested that the Commission <br />prepare a packet about government ethics that can be shared with new Ethics <br />Commissioners. She also suggested that perhaps that for each meeting the Commission <br />reads and discusses an article about government ethics. <br />Commissioner Lehman lilces CityEthics.org as it prints out articles about ethical <br />considerations for gover�mental employees and officials. Commissioner O'Brien <br />mentioned Robert Weschler's book about ethics and his summary publication called <br />"Local Government Ethics in a Nutshell". The Commission agreed to read the document <br />and discuss as part of the next meeting. <br />City Manager Trudgeon showed examples some other government ethics resources on <br />the internet. <br />Commissioner Quicic-Lindberg suggested worlcing on a mock ethics complaint as way for <br />training and learning about the Ethics Code. The Commission liked the idea and <br />mentioned that it might be worthwhile to do as part of the 2015 Ethics Training. <br />VII. Discuss Ethics Tip <br />Commissioner O'Brien brought forward an Ethics Tip regarding government ethics. The <br />Commission thought it was great ethics tip and tied vety nicely to the Roseville Ethics <br />Code. The Commission directed the City Manager to publish the tip on the City website. <br />VIII. Other Business <br />The City Manager stated that there has not been any ethics complaints forwarded to the <br />City Manager's Office or to the City Attorney. <br />IX.
