V. Training for New Ethics Commissioners <br />Vl. On-Going Training for Ethics Commissioners <br />Commissioner O'Brien brought forward her thoughts about the need for training new and <br />existing Commissioners through reading and discussing ethics. O'Brien brought forward <br />a list of resources regarding government ethics. O'Brien suggested that the Commission <br />prepare a packet about government ethics that can be shared with new Ethics <br />Commissioners. She also suggested that perhaps that for each meeting the Commission <br />reads and discusses an article about government ethics. <br />Commissioner Lehman likes CityEthics.org as it prints out articles about ethical <br />considerations for governmental employees and officials. Cpmmissioner O'Brien <br />mentioned Robert Weschler's book about ethics and his surn <br />"Local Government Ethics in a Nutshell". T�he Commission <br />and discuss as part of the next meeting. <br />publication called <br />d to read the document <br />City Manager Trudgeon showed examples some other government ethics' resources on <br />the internet. <br />Commissioner Quick-Lindberg suggested wqrking on a�mock ethics complaint as way for <br />training and learning about the E�hzcs Code. Ti�e Commiss�ion liked the idea and <br />mentioned that it mig�t be worthwhile� to do as part �f the 2p15 Ethics Training. <br />Vll.
