Human Rights, Inclusion and Engagement Commission Minutes <br />June 21, 2017 Draft Minutes <br />Page2 of10 <br />Public Comment on Items Not on Agenda <br />Approve Minutes <br />a.May 17, 2017 Human Rights, Inclusion and Engagement Commission <br />Youth Commissioner Hansel referred to page 5, line 211, and inquired if the correct date was <br />listed. Ms. Olson advised she would check on the date to confirm when Gabe Cederberg will be <br />recognized as Youth Commissioner. <br />Commissioner Holub inquired if the minutes could be sent to them a week prior to the meeting. <br />Ms. Olson agreed to send them out a week prior to the meeting. <br />Commissioner Groff referred to page 4, line 174, pointed out the words have more are in there <br />twice, and requested they be deleted. It should read, and the Council would like to have more <br />have more engagement with them. <br />Councilmember Laliberte referred to page 5, lines 198 to 202, stated they discussed reaching out <br />other school districts where Roseville residents reside, and requested this be added to the <br />minutes. <br />Councilmember Laliberte referred to page 10, line 433, and stated it should read, Ms. Olson <br />stated staff ashas reached out to the court system <br />Councilmember Laliberte referred to page 10, line 415, and stated it should read, not at the <br />end of aseveral ongoing discussions <br />CommissionerHolub moved and Commissioner Dailey seconded a motion to approve the May <br />17, 2017 Human Rights, Inclusion and Engagement Commissionmeeting minutes as amended, <br />and pending verification of the City Council meeting date where Gabe Cederberg will be <br />recognized as Youth Commissioner. Motion passed unanimously. <br />Receive Reports <br />a.Subcommittee on Parade and Party in the Park <br />Commissioner Manke stated the City has purchased shirts for those volunteering for the parade <br />or Party in the Park, as well as a banner and signage. Ms. Olson showed the Commission the <br />signs that were purchased and a mock-up of the booth for the Party in the Park was passed <br />around.Kelly OBrien will provide volunteer information for the booth. Ms. Olson stated there <br />are currently 12 people signed up for the parade and nine people signed up for Party in the Park. <br /> <br />
