September 20, 2017 <br />Item 9b. <br />City Engagement Efforts <br />Each month, Roseville hosts a volunteer opportunity at one of the local parks as part of the <br />natural resources renewal project. It includes an educational component and status update of the <br />overall natural resource restoration efforts. <br />Groups, individuals, and families are encouraged to participate. People of all ages are welcome <br />and will have a role to play. Please contact Rosevilles volunteer coordinator office at <br />volunteercoordinator@cityofroseville.com or 651-792-7028 for information about joining these <br />community-building events. Thanks for your help creating lasting environmental impacts in our <br />parks. <br />Preventing Fraud and Identity Theft <br />Protect yourself from being a victim of identity theft and fraud. Roseville Police invite you to a <br />fraud-prevention session on Friday, September 22. Officers will be on hand starting at 9:00 a.m. <br />for a cup of coffee and conversation. Then at 10:00, experts from the police department will <br />share information about how to spot and prevent fraud and identity theft scams. <br />Officers will provide examples of scams that have happened right here in Roseville. Theyll also <br />share information about what to do if you suspect youve been a victim of fraud or if your <br />identity has been stolen.
