Roseville Public Works, Environment and <br />Transportation Commission <br />Agenda Item <br />Date: July 25, 2017 <br />Item Description: Communication Items <br />Item No: 4 <br />Public Works Project updates: <br />• Cleveland Lift Station: Lift station replacement project at Cleveland & Brenner. <br />o The contractor has installed most of the underground components for the lift <br />station. The lift station is schedule for startup on August 1. Traffic on Cleveland <br />will be reduce to one lane in each direction until the new lift station is completed. <br />• 2017 Lining Project <br />o Estimated to line 5.5 miles of sanitary sewer main and 0.1 miles of storm sewer <br />o Contractor is scheduled to be complete with all the work by August 4. <br />• 2017 Railroad Crossing Improvements <br />o Work involves replacement of railroad crossings on Terminal Road and Walnut <br />Street. <br />o Two of the three railroad crossing locations have been completed. The third <br />railroad crossing on Terminal Road just west of St Croix St will be completed and <br />open to Traffic on July 25. A detour will be in place until the project is completed. <br />• South Lake Owasso Drainage Improvement <br />o Work on the installation of the PaveDrain permeable paver system is almost <br />completed. <br />• Dale Street Parking Lot <br />o Work involves the complete replacement of the parking lot for the soccer fields <br />located off Dale St just south of County Road C. <br />o This project is completed and open for use. Trees and other plantings will be <br />planted in the median island later this fall. <br />2017 Pavement Management Project <br />o This year's project involves 7 miles of street resurfacing, 1 mile of watermain <br />replacement and various storm sewer upgrades. <br />o The contractor has begun work and already completed work on Roselawn Avenue <br />and McCarrons Boulevard. Numerous private sanitary sewer services have been <br />replaced. <br />Water Booster Station Update and Water Model <br />o Staff has been working with our consultant to update the booster station. <br />o Some of the phase 1 improvements include, new emergency generator and new <br />electrical equipment. <br />o Changes to the site are shown in the proposed site plan (Attachment C) <br />Lift Station Project <br />o Staff began the design process with its consultants on upgrading the Walsh storm <br />water lift station and upgrading the Lounge sanitary lift station. <br />
