Table xx: City of Roseville Transportation Goals and Policies (DRAFT) <br />Vision Statement: Roseville has a comprehensive, safe, efficient <br />and reliable transportation system that... (NEW) <br />5.4 Update the Pathways Master Plan as needed. <br />5.5 Expand, maintain and promote a system of continuous and <br />connected pathways that encourage walking and biking. (NEW) <br />5.6 Plan for and support a multi -modal transportation system that <br />moves people and goods safely and efficiently. (NEW) <br />Note: The above referenced goals and policies are taken directly from the existing City of Roseville 2030 <br />Transportation Plan, with new 2040 revisions noted in red as (NEN). <br />4.8 Encourage transit -supportive development along existing and <br />future transit corridors. <br />4.9 Provide input into the rail corridor planning and abandonment <br />process. If rails are removed, the corridors should be preserved for <br />public uses, such as transit or pathways. In the event of rail line <br />abandonment, an4 appropriate public agency should acquire the <br />land for public purposes. <br />4.10 Play an active role in planning for potential transitways and <br />preserving potential rights-of-way and station locations. <br />4.11 Advocate to properly fund public transportation and transit <br />systems. (NEW) <br />4.12 Support and allow access to a robust public transit system that is <br />integral to the metropolitan system and meets long-term needs. <br />(NEW) <br />5.
