• Augmenters: Arterials that supplement the principal arterials system within urban <br />centers and urban communities. <br />• Expanders: Arterials that supplement principal arterials in less -densely developed areas <br />of the metro area. <br />• Connectors: Arterials that provide connections between rural towns and connect rural <br />areas with the principal arterial system. <br />There are six "A" Minor Augmenters and eight "A" Minor Relievers within the City: <br />"A" Minor Augmenters: <br />• TH 51 (Snelling Avenue) <br />• Ramsey County State Aid Highway (CSAH) 19 (County Road D) <br />• CSAH 23 (County Road C) <br />• CSAH 30 (Larpenteur Avenue) <br />• CSAH 51 (Lexington Avenue) <br />• CSAH 53 (Dale Street) <br />"A" Minor Reliever: <br />• CSAH 88 (New Brighton Boulevard) <br />• CSAH 46 (Cleveland Avenue) <br />• CSAH 49 (Rice Street) <br />• CSAH 24 (St. Croix Street/ Terminal Road) <br />• CSAH 78 (County Road B2) <br />• County Road (CR) 111 (County Road B2) <br />• CSAH 25 (County Road B) east of CSAH 46 <br />• Broadway Street <br />"B" Minor arterials have a similar focus on mobility above land access. These roadways connect <br />major traffic generators in the region. "B" Minor arterials are not eligible for federal funding. <br />"B" Minor arterials within the City include the following: <br />• County Road B west of CSAH 46 <br />• County Road D between I -35W and CSAH 48 <br />• CSAH 48 (Fairview Avenue) <br />• CSAH 50 (Hamlin Avenue) <br />• CSAH 52 (Victoria Street) <br />No additional minor arterials are proposed within the City at this time. <br />2.1.3. Collectors <br />Collector roadways provide linkages to larger developments and community amenities. They <br />generally do not link communities to one another.
