Location: County Road C (CSAH 78) <br />Lead Agency: Ramsey County <br />Type of Improvement: Truck Safety <br />Goals Addressed: Coordinate Transportation Decisions; Create a Safe and Efficient Roadway <br />Network. <br />Strategy: County Road C (CSAH 78) has been identified by Metropolitan Council in their <br />May 17, 2017 Regional Truck Highway Study as the #18 truck crash hotspot in the Twin <br />Cities Region, with 4.7 truck crashes per million trucks. Efforts should be made by Ramsey <br />County and the City of Roseville to work with the trucking community to better understand <br />problems related to truck crashes along this corridor. Federal FAST Act freight <br />funding or other freight related funding sources available through MxiDOT or Metropolitan <br />Council should be pursued for safety improvements along this corridor, as opportunities <br />present themselves. <br />Location: Burlington Northern Santa Fe (BNSF) Railroad <br />Lead Agency: City of Roseville/Ramsey County/MnDOT <br />Type of Improvement: At -Grade Railroad Crossing Safety/ Operations <br />Goals Addressed: Coordinate Transportation Decisions; Create a Safe and Efficient Roadway <br />Network. <br />Strategy: City of Roseville, Ramsey County and MnDOT officials should coordinate closely <br />with BNSF Railroad to monitor the ongoing safety and operations of at grade railroad <br />crossings at the following locations in the City of Roseville: Walnut Street, Long Lake Road, <br />Cleveland Avenue North, Fairview Avenue North, Snelling Avenue North, Hamlin Avenue <br />North, Lexington Avenue North, Victoria Street North, Dale Street North, South Owasso <br />Boulevard and numerous private driveways.
