Public pathway systems shall meet the highest standards in design and <br />401 <br />construction. <br />402 <br />Mr. Culver agreed item Nos. 23.3 and 23.4 are redundant and should not be in the <br />403 <br />Pathway Master Plan. When they building anything, it should be of the highest of <br />404 <br />reasonable standards. <br />405 <br />406 <br />Item 22.2 Provide pathway network maps at primary locations to better orient users <br />407 <br />to the Roseville system. Accompanying the may shall be a list of rules for pathway <br />408 <br />etiquette. <br />409 <br />Member Seigler inquired if it should be changed to, "Provide pathway network <br />410 <br />maps through multiple means and mediums" or if there would be physical maps out <br />411 <br />on the pathways somewhere. <br />412 <br />413 <br />Mr. Culver stated there is a desire to have more wayfinding signs out in the City. <br />414 <br />There are unique distance marker posts along County Road C and Dale Street and <br />415 <br />some parks may have signs that designate distances around the lakes. <br />416 <br />417 <br />Chair Cihacek suggested it be changed to, "Promote wayfinding devices at primary <br />418 <br />locations." <br />419 <br />420 <br />Mr. Culver inquired how they would define a primary location. <br />421 <br />422 <br />Member Misra inquired if there is an app that allows people to see the City's trail <br />423 <br />system. <br />424 <br />425 <br />Mr. Culver responded a majority of the pathways are on Google Maps. <br />426 <br />427 <br />Member Misra suggested they put a link on the City's webpage to Google Maps. <br />428 <br />429 <br />The Commission discussed the definition of wayfinding. The Park Master Plan <br />430 <br />could include more signage and they will review it to make sure it is consistent with <br />431 <br />the Pathways Master Plan. They agreed the policy should be changed to, "Promote <br />432 <br />wayfinding devices such as signs, maps, and mile markers to better orient users to <br />433 <br />the Roseville system." <br />434 <br />435 <br />Member Misra stated she liked that there was a list of rules for pathway etiquette. <br />436 <br />437 <br />Item 25.
