Public Hearing to Consider Approving 2018 Liquor License Renewals <br /> As detailed in the RCA, Finance Director Chris Miller noted fourteen additional <br /> 2018 Liquor License renewals for consideration and as listed in Attachment A; <br /> recommending approval of all. <br /> At the request of Councilmember Willmus, Finance Director Miller confirmed <br /> that as of the last compliance check and as referenced on page 1 of the RCA(lines <br /> 23 —26), Cub Liquor training materials and information was now up-to-date. <br /> Mayor Roe opened and closed the public hearing at approximately 8:08 p.m., with <br /> no one appearing for or against. <br /> Laliberte moved, Etten seconded, approval of the requested 2018 liquor licenses <br /> as presented (Attachment A). <br /> Discussion ensued specific to current suspension for V.F.W. Post 7555 for their <br /> most recent non-compliance; the need for notice requirements for any non- <br /> renewal considerations; and additional communications efforts by staff to license <br /> holders to incentivize their proper training given violations occurring and the City <br /> Council's hesitancy in automatically approving renewals and questioning whether <br /> these establishments took service to minors and adequate server training as seri- <br /> ously as did the city. <br /> Roll Call <br /> Ayes: Willmus, Laliberte, Etten, McGehee and Roe. <br /> Nays: None. <br /> d. Consider an Ordinance to Modify City Code, Chapter 314.05 (2018 Fee <br /> Schedule) <br /> As detailed in the RCA and Attachment C, Finance Director Chris Miller present- <br /> ed the most recent iteration and corrections to the proposed 2018 fee schedule as <br /> highlighted. Mr. Miller noted that previous questions and comments identified by <br /> the City Council had been addressed, with most changes related to the property <br /> improvement field. <br /> Councilmember McGehee questioned why the fee for quarterly manual meter <br /> reads had been reduced (page 13). <br /> City Manager Trudgeon advised that this revision was more reflective of actual <br /> staff costs. <br /> Public Works Director Marc Culver agreed; noting that when the automated meter <br /> reading program was first implemented, there were additional administrative costs <br /> involved to communicate with residents as part of that implementation process. <br /> However, Mr. Culver reported that now, the costs were only for maintenance of <br />
