<br /> Commissioner Stoner inquired about the 2017 items identified for the OVAL. <br /> Staff relayed the City Council’s intention to go to the State of MN to seek funding <br /> for the OVAL during the next bonding session in 2020. Currently, Roseville Parks <br /> and Recreation is working with an Engineer who will put together a CIP package <br /> and cost estimate that will potentially be used in the bonding bill. Speed Skating <br /> and Bandy are also doing an analysis on the types of pads and other equipment <br /> needed to attract larger events that could be included in the Bill. The City Council <br /> is considering language in the next week that will indicate support and to seek <br /> inclusion in the Bonding Bill. The goal is that State funding will offset the costs <br /> identified in the CIP for the OVAL. <br /> <br /> By industry standard Lexington Park, Pioneer Park and Owasso Hills Park have <br /> been identified as past due for replacement. The Parks and Recreation Department <br /> has continued to inspect and extend the life of those play structures, ensuring that <br /> they are safe, as they look at the timeframes and available funds for replacement. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Asset Management Programs – Categories, Lifecycles and Conditions <br />The Asset Management Program utilizes a 1-5 ranking condition rating. Asset <br />Management is a topic that the University of Minnesota Students studied for the <br />City of Roseville and they will presenting their final recommendation on <br />December 13, 2017 at Roseville City Hall. <br /> <br /> 2018 Draft Meeting Calendar <br />5) <br />Most 2018 Commission Meetings would keep the typical cadence of the first Tuesday of the <br />month. However, the February, August and November 2018 meetings have been moved to <br />the first Thursday of the month due to Caucus, Night to Unite and Voting Night respectively. <br /> <br />Commissioner Bole moved to approve the 2018 Draft Meeting Calendar. Commissioner <br />Newby seconds. Motion passed unanimously. <br /> <br /> ONGOING TOPICS <br />6) <br />b) Cedarholm Community Building Replacement <br /> <br />Work continues to move forward with the Cedarholm Community Building replacement. <br /> <br />Thesteel came in on Monday of this week. <br /> <br />Staff shared pictures of the building progress showing the concrete pour and the steel <br />frames being placed. A special recognition and thanks goes out to volunteer <br />photographer, Mark Connelly, for taking the photos. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />
