i CITY OF RO5EVILLE AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 702 ORDINANCE 1187 AN ORDINANCE AMENDTNG CHAPTER 702 OF THE CITY CODE OF THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE DEALING WITH MOTORBOAT AND AIRCRAFT OPERATION ON CITY LAKES. The City Council of the City of Roseville, Minnesota, dces hereby ordain: I. The City Code of tYie Cicy of Roseville is amending Chapter 702, oi the City Code, to read as follows: 702.01: ADOPTION OF CODE: For the purpose of regulating the operation of motorboats on the public waters within the City, the provisions of Minnesota Statutes Annotated (M.S.A.), section 86B.001, et seq., are adopted and by this reference made a part of this Chapter as completely as if set forth in full herein. 702.02: SPEED LIMITED: No motorboat shall be operated on any public waters at a speed greater than is reasonable and proper having due regard to safety of other boats and persons. On Lake Owasso, no motorboat shall be operated at a speed greater than forty (40) miles per hour. 7Q2.03: WATE� SKIING OR SLTRFBOARDING: Ex:,ept as provided for elsewhere in this Chapter, no motorboat shall be used for the purpose of water skiing, surtboarding or other similar device, on any lake unless such operation is performed in a manner so that neither the boat nor the skier or surfboard rider come within three hundred feet (300') of shoreline, docks, swimmers or other boats. 702.04: NO WAKE ZONE: Except as provided for elsewhwere in this Chapter, no person shall operate a motorboat or be towed on water skis or a similar device at greater than a slow-no wake speed within 300 feet of shore. Launching or landing a skier by the most direct route to open water shall be exempt from this provision.
