AppendixD <br />City of Roseville Community Aspirations: <br /> <br />2015 Results & Accomplishments <br />Each year, the Mayor of Roseville presents a State of the City Address to highlight various results and <br />accomplishments over the past year. These achievements are summarized in the spirit of the City’s <br />Mission Statement and in the context of the City’s Community Aspirations, both of which are identified <br />in other sections of this document. The State of the City Address is typically given in February of each <br />year. <br />As of the date of this publication, the results and accomplishments for the most recent year have not yet <br />been compiled. The results of the previous year grouped by community aspiration category are shown <br />below. <br />Welcoming, inclusive, and respectful <br />Hosted a Naturalization Ceremony at the Roseville Skating Center. <br />Sponsored a New American Forum in partnership with the Karen Organization, International <br />Institute, and the Roseville Area School District. <br />Held a Civility Training event in partnership with the Institute for Civility in Government. <br />Safe and law-abiding <br />Partnered with the University of Northwestern-St. Paul to survey interactions with policy to track <br />performance and opportunities to improve. <br />Continued transition to full-time firefighters to provide 24-hour staffing. <br />Nearly 2,800 hours of volunteer work by police reserves, park patrols, andinterns. <br />Economically prosperous, with a stable and broad tax base <br />New permit value increased from $56.5 million to $70.2 million in 2015. <br />Expansion at the Rosedale regional mall. <br />New developments at the Twin Lakes Redevelopment Area, <br />Experienced an overall market value increase of 5.1%(15.4% over pastfouryears), coupled with <br />generalmarket appreciation across allproperty types. <br />Secure in our diverse and quality housing and neighborhoods <br />Applewood Pointe senior co-op at the old Owasso School property. <br />Cherrywood Pointe assisted living facility along Lexington Avenue. <br />Initiated a new Multi-family rental licensing program to promote rental housing quality <br />standards. <br />Development of an 18-unit multi-family housing project at the Garden Station townhome <br />project. <br /> <br />112 <br /> <br />
