Chair Cihacek asked if there would be a limit on the number of updates that could <br />occur to the app within a year. <br />Mr. Johnson stated the vendor had not mentioned a limit. <br />Member Seigler commented this app could be used for street cleaning alerts and <br />during snow emergencies. <br />Member Trainor suggested the app not be rolled out until complete. He believed <br />this would show the true value to Roseville residents. <br />Member Wozniak asked if Eureka would support the app. <br />Mr. Johnson anticipated that Eureka would benefit from the app due to the <br />streamlined information. <br />Mr. Culver commented on Eureka's goals and missions to move towards zero waste <br />and anticipated the app would assist them with reaching this goal. <br />Mr. Wozniak inquired if the app could be used in different languages. <br />Mr. Johnson reported the app would have translation options. <br />Chair Cihacek supported the app and wanted to see Eureka on board with this <br />initiative. He stated he was suspicious of the free offer from the vendor and <br />explained he would like to review the contract further. He questioned if recycling <br />efforts would really be increased due to an app but generally he stated he supported <br />the idea <br />Mr. Culver suggested Eureka address the app when they come before the group in <br />January. He anticipated the app would move forward on a year to year contract. <br />He stated staff could present this information again in January for further comment <br />and consideration. <br />Member Wozniak requested staff consider what other options were available to <br />provide residents with alerts for recycling and shredding events. He stated he was <br />not convinced the City needed to pursue an app to provide these notifications. <br />Mr. Culver explained this would be addressed further in January. <br />6. Transportation Plan Update <br />Mr. Freihammer stated staff had a final draft of the Transportation Plan for the <br />Commission to consider.
