EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING <br /> OF THE <br /> CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE <br /> Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of <br /> Roseville, County of Ramsey, Minnesota, was duly held on the 12th day of February, 2018,at <br /> 6:00 p.m. <br /> The following members were present: Willmus, Etten, McGehee; and Mayor Roe and the <br /> following were absent: Laliberte. <br /> Member Willmus introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br /> RESOLUTION No. 11494 <br /> RESOLUTION SUPPORTING CORRIDORS OF COMMERCE FUNDS <br /> FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF TH 36 MNPASS LANES <br /> WHEREAS, in 2013 the Corridors of Commerce program was created by the Minnesota <br /> Legislature to accelerate improvements to corridors that have regional and economic <br /> significance and that are not being adequately addressed through normal funding options;and <br /> WHEREAS, in 2013, 2014 and 2017 the Minnesota Legislature designated funds for the <br /> Corridors of Commerce program and as a result MnDOT has decided to select$400 million of <br /> projects in the 2018 round of Corridors of Commerce funding;and <br /> WHEREAS, TH 36 has been identified in regional Managed Lane Studies as being a good <br /> candidate for MnPASS lanes; and <br /> WHEREAS, Ramsey County has submitted an application for Corridors of Commerce funds to <br /> install MnPASS lanes in both directions on TH 36 from I-35W in Roseville to I-35E in Little <br /> Canada and Maplewood; and <br /> WHEREAS,the installation of MnPASS lanes along TH 36 would be beneficial to the residents <br /> and businesses of the City of Roseville and the metro region as a whole. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Roseville, <br /> Minnesota,that the City of Roseville supports the construction of MnPASS lanes in both <br /> directions of TH 36 between I-35W and I-35E and further supports the use of Corridors of <br /> Commerce funds for this project. <br /> The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Member <br /> McGehee, and upon vote being taken thereon,the following voted in favor thereof. Willmus, <br /> Etten,McGehee;and Mayor Roe; and the following voted against the same: none. <br /> WHEREUPON said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted. <br />
