Rehabilitation Process
As engineers plan each rehabilitation effort, they select
design and construction techniques that minimize cost
and impact on the community and environment and that
are sustainable long-term solutions. The design also
takes into account physical limitations like wastewater
flow capacity, number of users, natural surroundings
like soil type and tree growth, proximity to buildings, and
topographical slope. This
project will use a process
called Cured -in -Place -
Pipe, or CIPP. During
this process, a liner we
will install in the existing
sewer using a trenchless
technology. This non-
invasive method helps
reduce costs and impacts
to homes and businesses.
What to Expect
• Ongoing road closure for part of Avon St. A detour will be identified prior to closure.
• Short-term temporary lane closures for intersections at Avon St. and Brenner Ave. and at Christopher Ln.
and County Rd. D.
• Residents on Avon St. will continue to have access to their homes throughout the project. We will create a
short access road for residents located near the excavation site.
• Construction equipment, construction noise, vibrations, light, and smells associated with wastewater pipe
access and the CIPP lining process.
• Short-term temporary impact to residents' driveways on the west side of Avon St.
• Temporary mailbox relocation for some Avon St. residents. We will let you know the timing and location
ahead of time.
• Temporary water and wastewater service disruption for some Avon St. residents. We will contact mpacted
residents beforehand to offer alternative arrangements.
• Temporary construction staging in a section of Valley Park.
4A
METROPOLITAN
0 0 U N 0 1 L
