1ROSEVILLE PARKS AND RECREATION COMMISSION <br />2DRAFT MEETING MINUTES FOR <br />3March 6, 2018 6:30pm <br />4 <br />5PRESENT:Baggenstoss, Bole,Gelbach,O’Brien, Stoner, Warzecha <br />6ABSENT: Heikkila, Hoag, Newby, Quick <br />7STAFF: Brokke, Christensen,Deal <br />8 <br />91)INTRODUCTIONS <br />10Commissioners Heikkila, Hoag and Newby informed staff prior to the meeting that they <br />11would not be in attendance. <br />12 <br />132)ROLL CALL/PUBLIC COMMENT <br />14No public in attendance for the meeting. <br />15 <br />163)APPROVAL OF MINUTES –FEBRUARY 1, 2018 MEETING <br />17Commissioner O’Brien requested the addition of Youth Commissioner Joey Quick to the roll <br />18call as present. Commissioner Bole moved to approve the February 1, 2018 meeting minutes <br />19with amendment. Commissioner Warzecha seconds. Motion passed unanimously. <br />20 <br />214)RECREATION PROGRAM REVIEW <br />22Recreation Superintendent, Lauren Deal, provided an overview of the upcoming Recreation <br />23Programs offered for Spring/Summer 2018. <br />24 <br />25Roseville Parks and Recreation works to provide opportunities and events for all ages. Adult <br />26opportunities include sports leagues such as softball, sand volleyball, soccer and bocce ball. <br />27Adult wellness is offering new classes in Mindfulness and Hula this Spring/Summer. <br />28 <br />29Youth Sports are offered via contract partnerships, associations and in-house programs. New <br />30youth sports offeredthis summer include kickball and Character. Hand. Eye. Movement <br />31(CHEM) Tennis and Pickleball. <br />32 <br />33Roseville offers youth arts, theatre and enrichment programs in partnership with <br />34Abrakadoodle, Kidcreateand Tec Tac Toe. Summer youth playground programs are <br />35availablefor children ages 3-12. <br />36 <br />37The Rec ConnectYouth Outreach Program serves residents of Southeast Roseville, <br />38specifically targeting the youth living in the Brittney/Marion Apartments. The new program <br />39in 2017 was a success and will again be offered in 2018. <br />40 <br />4 <br /> <br />
