Roseville Proclamation <br /> Fair Housing Month <br /> April 2005 <br /> Whereas: The month of April marks the 371h anniversary of the passage of the Federal <br /> Fair Housing Law, declaring discrimination in the sale, rental or financing of housing based <br /> on race, color,religion, sex, handicap, familial status or national origin as unlawful; and <br /> Whereas: Fair Housing Month is a time to remind all Americans that we not only have <br /> the right to own and rent property,but it is an individual responsibility to guard this right from <br /> any infringement;and <br /> Whereas: Roseville is a community where people of different races,religions, ages, <br /> lifestyles and occupations can live side by side, enjoying each other and learning from each <br /> other; and <br /> Whereas: The Roseville Human Rights Commission invites all resident's to renew their <br /> commitment to making Roseville a community that welcomes diversity and fosters a sense of <br /> security for all residents regardless of race, color, religion, sex,handicap, familial status or <br /> national origin; and <br /> Whereas: The Housing and Redevelopment Authority, in and for the City of Roseville, <br /> supports fair housing to all people regardless of race, color,religion, sex,handicap, familial <br /> status or national origin and applies this belief to its housing programs and services; <br /> Now, Therefore Be It Resolved, that the City Council hereby declare April 2005 to be Fair <br /> Housing Month in the City of Roseville, County of Ramsey, State of Minnesota, U.S.A <br /> In Witness Whereof, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the Seal of the City of <br /> Roseville to be affixed this 11th day of April 2005. <br /> Mayor Craig D.
